The 4th image for the 2023 Halloween Countdown
Day 4's prompt was "Mist" and I was at a loss of what to select. I imagined Stephen King's The Mist but could not come up with anything. I wanted to use this Victorian Monster model by RawArt and after digging around the Daz website pieced together this lovely scene.
It kind of gave me Psycho vibes as well, but I knew a great deal would be covered up by the Mist that I was attempting to convey with the prompt.
After putting everything together and framing up my shot - I do view this as a type of photography. It is looking through a virtual lens into a virtual world with virtual props and characters. Add in the lights and effects and it simply feels like a sort of magic.
As always, once I am happy with the overall look and feel, it's off to the final render.
Then over to Photoshop and Lightroom for the final tweaks for Instagram. Yes, this would have been great for a version of Psycho. While there is some mist, it is not what stands out. I still like it.
