The 3rd image for the 2023 Halloween Countdown
It's a Madhouse!!!
Day 3 of the Halloween Countdown 2023 prompt was "Madhouse", which conjures up tons of images. I wanted to show a padded room, but I also wanted to include another figure and ended up going with this hallway scene.
Following my standard workflow and trying to stay within an hour for each image, I scour the Daz website and select my assets. Then I start building out the scene in Daz Studio.
The checked items as called ghostlights and they are invisible lights in the scene. It is like having a softbox or small spotlight right where you need it and at whatever size, color and intensity you want. Once I have the scene ready, I finalize the camera.
Oftentimes, the camera may come first and then I build out the set knowing where the camera is sitting, then I can come back in and tweak it however I wish. Then it's time for the Iray previews.
Once I am happy with what I am seeing, then it is time for the final render.
Then into Photoshop for some adjustments and Lightroom for some color work. Once happy with the final look, then onto my phone to be posted to Instagram.
