The 26th image for the 2023 Halloween Countdown
I had wanted so much more for this one. "Parade" immediately brought to mind artwork by Mab Graves called, "The Monsters Parade" which I love and wish I had purchased a print when I had the opportunity. It is a phenomenal work that depicts a scene that to me is a Halloween parade of cute monsters marching down the street.
After searching the Daz Store for quite some time, I decided to use a parade of skeletons marching from Hell. This might be a little dark for Halloween, but skeletons and Halloween go hand in hand. To lighten the mood, I had the skeletons with happy expressions and acting like they were in a parade on Main Street USA.
Using skeletons, also helped keep the resource usage lower. Each one had to be posed and I did not use instances, which would have been a faster way to accomplish the scene. I added the reaper fella to the side to help add something more - I do like he is holding up the hourglass to say hello but also to let you know your time is up.
I can't remember how long it took to put this one together, but I am doubtful it stayed within the one-hour goal. I remember moving each skeleton's pose to help make it look better every time I checked the Iray preview.
I like that there is some humor here, or else I think it would have been darker and out of place.
Tick Tock. Your time is up.
Perhaps it already was as maybe these guys are greeting your arrival...
