The 13th image for the 2023 Halloween Countdown
Nightmare on Friday the 13th!
Day 13's prompt was Nightmare! AND it fell on Friday the 13th in October! How wonderfully delicious is that!! Images of Freddy vs Jason popped into my head, so I went off seeking if any assets existed for these two characters.
Once I located some useful items, I wanted to show the cabin scene where Freddy and Jason are having it out while it burns down around them. I went with this burned woods scene that worked out rather nicely.
I do remember struggling quite a bit to get the scene in a way I liked. I would rotate the burning woods and move the characters around. Ultimately, I found this setup.
Oftentimes through experimentation, things fall into place. Always be open to experimentation. I used to let things dead stop if I couldn't get it right.
Then some touch-ups for the Instagram.
It sort of feels like you are right there in the action of it. They are not perfect, but it was fun to create.
