The 11th image for the 2023 Halloween Countdown
"Scream" = Ghostface for me - at least when I read the prompt. It could mean something else at another time.
I think for this one, I found the asset on the Renderosity store. There are a few places to purchase Daz Studio assets. The Daz store is my top choice, followed by Renderosity and one called Renderhub that I've been getting a few items from. I may have forgotten some others, but I would say these are my primary go-tos.
This is a great example of how simple some scenes can be. Two characters posed and with an HDRI around them. These are typically faster to set up because there isn't much messing around with props and lights like there is in a full scene.
Once the pose is setup, and sometimes this is in conjunction with setting up the camera angle. It might be jumping in and out of the camera, tweaking a pose or moving the camera slightly. It is playing around and finding that spot where you would like to click the shutter if it were a real camera.
The Iray preview will allow you to see what the HDRI looks like, and here you can move it around until you have something you are happy with in the background. I do see I added some depth of field to this scene, which you can see in the Iray preview. That is nice because again, something you can tweak to your liking.
Then the final render, which I really liked. I feel like you can see emotion here even if subtle. I didn't want to see her struggling. Will he plunge the knife, or keep her? He'll probably sink it in. It's Ghostface after all.
And the final post for Instagram. I do like this one quite a bit. Might be fun to do some sort of Ghostface fan fiction story.
